After mounting to any standard faucet, simply run your hands (or whatever you are washing, filling or getting wet) under the faucet to turn the water on automatically. The tap will then remain on until you move from under the sensor. Need to keep the water running to fill the sink? You can override the automatic feature by pressing the manual override button, which allows the water to run for 3 minutes.
