"I really like this product. It works almost every time. Once in a great while, it will not respond - just use a finger from your clean hand to wipe off the area where the soap comes out, to remove the small amount of soap that may be blocking the opening. Best features: 1. How EASY it is to fill. No funnel required like a ceramic jar soap container. 2. It always dispenses the correct/same amount - no wasting of soap. 3. It doesn't drip all over itself! 4. And, of course, no touching/no pumping! Smarthome sells some pretty great products. "Initially it is difficult to get the dispenser to work. I think the key here is the correct consistency of the liquid soap. The soap I used was too thick, mixing it with water resulted in a too thin mixture and the dispenser leaked. After a couple of tries I found the right solution but the manual should have listed a recommended soap since they tried it before. The dispenser should have an "OFF" switch so the appliance can be cleaned without dispensing soap. I have not found the right way to clean it unless it shoots soap out which I tried to clean.
