® is here to give you an extra hand in the kitchen. This smart trashcan features a new sensor technology which allows it to sync up with your needs called multi-sense
™ technology. This new multi-sense technology allows the trashcan to both adapt and react to your behavior that way it won't unexpectedly open or close. The sensor zone is focused to the area directly above the lid and is easy to trigger for hands free operation when you have waste to throw away. The sensor signal is also very precise and focuses only on the area directly above the trashcan that way it won't mistakenly trigger and open when someone walks by. While open, the sensor zone becomes more sensitive so that it can recognize your activity to determine if you are still near the can. This helps to ensure that the lid of the trashcan will not close in mid-use. If the lid is opened for 3 seconds of continued use it will automatically enter into a 30 second stay-open mode. This is beneficial for longer chores such as cleaning up after dinner or changing the can liner. The Sensor Trashcan also boasts an odor control mechanism referred to as Odorsorb
™ which consists of carbon filters on the can's inner lid. The carbon filters absorb the various odors of the trash and act to eliminate them naturally leaving the surrounding area free of garbage odors.
The motor which powers this smart trashcan allows for not only smooth but quiet operation of the lid while opening and closing. To protect the motor against real life conditions the gears will automatically disengage if anything interferes with the opening or closing of the lid. The benefit to this is that the motor will not continue to try and fight through the resistance it is receiving which can damage the unit. This trashcan is powered by 6
C batteries or the optional
power adapter (not included).
