Using just one of these tablets can save countless pieces of paper because it cuts out the need for sticky notes, memo pads, scrap paper, etc. Think about all the memos thrown in the trash after use and the meeting notes that are crumpled up and thrown out afterwards. With the Rip Tablet no more will you have to waste an entire sheet of paper for couple lines of notes. Rip stands for Record Image Preserve and with this LCD Tablet notes can be written out and either saved on the devices internal memory or simply erased altogether with the push of a button so it can be used for another paper-saving task. Saving what is on the screen is just as easy as erasing the contents. Next to the erase button at the top is a larger button off to the right which will instantly save what is written or drawn on the screen upon pushing. Upon saving a document, whether it be written or drawn, the Rip Tablet will convert it to a PDF file so that it can be transferred to a computer via its included USB cord. To prevent unexpected erases from a slip of the hand this Boogie Board Tablet features an erase lock button on the side of the device as a safeguard. Writing on this Tablet requires a special stylus that uses electro-magnetic technology and it is included with the purchase.

The Rip Writing Tablet weighs 11.5 ounces and is only a 1/2 inch thick making it ideal for use on the go much like the other, smaller, versions of Writing Tablets. The screen with the Rip Tablet is also larger than the original and measures 9.5 inches diagonally. Bring it with you to school or the office for note taking as an alternative to using scratch paper throughout the day. The Tablet is powered by a USB rechargeable lithium ion battery that should last for roughly a week when fully charged and is covered under the 1 year manufacturer warranty on this product. The internal storage capacity is 8MB which is enough to hold roughly 200 images. The Rip Writing Tablet is compatible with Windows OS and Mac OS.
