The Porta-Jump Emergency Car Jump Starter is the indispensable emergency tool for your car. It's small enough to fit in your car glove box or center console, But Porta-Jump is so powerful that, when you need, it can charge any 12-Volt battery in a matter of minutes so you can jump start your car or pick- up truck in the event of an emergency. You can use the same Porta-Jump over and over. It's always ready to help you in an emergency. The Porta-Jump charges your battery right through your car’s cigarette lighter socket, so you never have to leave your vehicle. That means extra safety and security, especially at night if you or a loved one is on a dark road. No cables required. Forget about trying to figure which end of the cable to connect to which battery terminal. You don't need another car in order to jump start yours. Most other "battery boosters" are disposable and you have to throw them away after just one use. But you can use the Porta-Jump over and over again. It actually recharges itself! Porta Jump delivers a surface charge back to your car battery through the power accessory port (sometimes called the cigarette lighter) in your car. In 100% of the test cars that lost their charge because of accidentally leaving on your lights, radio or other accessories, the Porta Jump delivers sufficient power to bring your car battery back up the level of electrical power necessary to start your engine and get you back on the road.
The Porta Jump does not require periodic recharging to maintain its 30 volts of power. If you never need to use your Porta Jump, it will retain its full charge for up to 5 years. Just check the expiration date printed on the unit to determine its remaining life.
The Porta Jump WILL NOT provide sufficient energy to bring a defective battery back up to the nominal recharge level. Our testing procedure, where you simply insert the power adapter into your power port accessory, is designed to let you know if your car battery will or can accept the charge from your Porta Jump before you begin the process. If you DO NOT get a green light, your Porta Jump will not work and it tells you that your car battery needs professional servicing and/or possible replacement.
