Essential Info
Do you like the clean, professional look of in-wall wiring, but don't want to spend your entire weekend installing it? Then check out our Cable Fish Rod Kit, an easy-to-use tool that makes it a cinch to run wires and cables in walls, attics and drop ceilings! This 30-ft. non-conductive fiberglass rod -- consisting of five 6-ft. connectable segments -- speeds up any in-wall wiring project, allowing you to spend less time installing your equipment and more time enjoying it.
The tool works with a number of different cable and wire types, including speaker wire, telephone wire, UL Class 2 copper conductor cable, thermostat cable, coax cable, fiber and much more! Simply attach the cable you're installing to the end of the fish rod, and use the rod to guide the cable to the area where you want to run it. With its bright orange color, you should have no problem spotting the other end with a flashlight and retrieving the cable. Once you've secured the cable on the other side, gently pull out the fiberglass rod and you're ready to finish off the installation.
Because the Cable Fish Rod is more rigid than fish tape, it's extraordinarily easy to use. For true ease of use, however, use the Cable Fish Rod Attachment Kit, which contains the most commonly used attachments for grasping, holding and retrieving wire and cable. Attachment kit sold separately.
