Essential Info
When you are trying to locate a draft or leak and an expensive thermal imaging camera is not an option, this handheld IR thermometer provides a cost-effective solution. Temperatures can be read without contact from the dual laser targeting or with contact from the included thermocouple probe. Its high accuracy level and fast response time rivals that of the unaffordable thermal camera. This thermometer measures both air temperature and humidity. Its 2.2-inch color LCD displays shows temperature/humidity, min/max/avg and date/time stamps. A built-in camera takes still images and video, which can easily be uploaded to a computer for further analysis or report documentation. Measurement modes include: video/infrared, infrared only, dew point and datalogging. The thermometer is tripod-mountable with a trigger lock for continuous readings. You can even set high and low set points. Once the thermometer detects that a set point has been reached, an audible alarm will sound to notify you. It will automatically power off after a period of idle time, which can be adjusted as needed. The thermometer is powered by a rechargeable 3.7V battery for added ease of use.
