After completing the pre-wiring stage of an installation, you could be faced with dozens of cables! While it is easy to group the different cables into categories, coax for TV, Cat. 5 for phones and networking, and a few misc. cables (security, cameras, IR remote control, HVAC), you still have to figure out which cable goes to which jack or location. The Pocket Toner can help you solve this problem in minutes!

Simply plug the sender into a wall jack in a room. Back at the location where all the cables come together, connect one cable at a time to the speaker until a tone is heard, and you've found your cable! The Pocket Toner can also be used to identify reversed polarity in telephone and network cables. When cables are "punched-down" onto connecting blocks, like 8610, it can quickly go from one row to the next to easily identify the cable in question. Uses 12-volt battery (included).
