Essential Info
Identify connector and cable pin-out with true cable mapping, not pairing, for both patch cords and installed cables. The LAN Cable-Check & Telephone Test Set is designed for full-range continuity testing, line condition, signal tracing, and wire identification using a tone generator and tone probe cable tracer.
The tone generator injects a tone down data, phone and power cables to test the polarity of phone cables and line status. The tone probe cable tracer quickly and easily identifies cable pairs carrying a tone signal, allowing you to locate patch and termination points of wire. Its audible speaker features an adjustable volume control and includes a jack for a headset.
The RJ45 LAN tester uses a true cable mapper to identify open, crossed and shorted connections, as well as connector and cable pin-out. Its clear LED display shows each pin and shield, and it automatically displays mapping with dual speeds. Batteries are included.
