Now you can install circular in-wall and in-ceiling speakers easily using the Adjustable Speaker Cutter Hole Saw, which attaches to your drill bit to create the perfect opening in your ceiling tile or drywall. In-wall and in-ceiling speakers are sold separately.

    The Adjustable Speaker Cutter Hole Saw has a self-sharpening blade that fits 3/8-inch drills and adjusts from 6 1/4 inches to 10 3/8 inches in 3/8-inch increments, which should fit any size circular in-wall and in-ceiling speaker cut-outs. Two dust shields are included.

    Use the Adjustable Speaker Cutter Hole Saw on drywall or ceiling tile only. A drywall stabilizer attachment is included for cutting drywall, because too much cutting pressure or not keeping the drill perpendicular to the material will result in rough and uneven cutting.

    Does not work well on ceiling tile. As soon as it almost gets through, the spring blades in the middle catch and it messes up the tile. I tried 5x and ended up cutting by hand. Works fine for drywall.

    I ceiling mounted 6 speakers using this tool in under one hour,when it used to take me about 45 minutes for each one. Not anymore. I can't say enough good about it, just buy it!

    The device needs a bit more engineering to stabalize it when cutting holes. We were using it to cut holes into a gyp ceiling and as careful as we are/could be, it still managed to damage the ceiling finish and the outter edges of the blade holder gouged the ceiling as well. This could be easily reconfigured to avaid such damage from occuring. It did cut holes though!

    Used item to cut 8 speaker hole in drywall ceiling...the amount of sheetrock dust that escaped the sheild was incredible. After the first 3 cuts...I decided to go into my attic and cut the hole from above, with my buddy on the other side holding the dust shield. This way worked INCREDIBLY well. Maybe for smaller holes this thing would work well from the inside...but my cutouts were 9 3/8 and it was a struggle to get this thing to work properly on the inside.

    This product is terrible. The drill bit doesn''''t lock into place. The blades aren''''t sharp. After one cut it wouldn''''t cut any longer. I wouldn''''t recommend this product to anyone.

    This really puts a lot of dust and shavings all over the place as the shield spins along with the cutter. I would rather spend more and get a decent adjustable hole cutter than this toy. If you want to cut into a plaster ceiling or wood or a fiber-cement sofit for exterior speakers this tool does not have a prayer.

    This is a great item and accelerates job flow. I used it to cut holes for recessed light fixtures in drywall ceiling panels as I was installing them. Does a great job and the dust shield really helps to minimize dust.
