This versatile, rackmount panel houses eight Decora-style wall plates in one neat, organized location. It supports low- and high-voltage applications, so you can use it for mounting power receptacles, light switches, A/V wall jacks or even QuickPort Cat. 5, RJ-11 plates and snap-in jacks! If it fits in a Decora-style plate, it will fit in this panel.
The installation possibilities with this product are endless. Adjust the lights, automated drapes and motorized projection screen directly from the equipment enclosure (as opposed to walking around the room and making the adjustments from various wall-mounted locations). Or create a centralized way to shut off power to your home theater system at a moment's notice -- perfect for protecting your expensive home theater equipment from damage due to surges after a power outage. The possibilities are endless.
The panel is constructed out of 16-gauge flanged aluminum with a brushed, black anodized finish. Don't need to fill all 8 openings? Then give your panel a neat, finished look with Blank, Black Decora-Style Fill Plates (#865160), sold separately.
For high-voltage applications, or for installations where you want to hide the wiring, we recommend using it together with a 3-space rackmount chassis (Smarthome product #8735C3). Simply drill holes in the back for the cables to exit, and it can be easily installed into any standard 19" rack.
