Install these Rack-Mount Fan Panels to keep the equipment in your audio/video rack properly ventilated. Configurable to work in either intake or exhaust mode, you can maximize cooling by placing one at the bottom of your rack in intake mode and the other at the top in exhaust mode to extend the live of your equipment. For less demanding applications, use one unit at the top or bottom with a vented grill panel at the opposite end. The single fan panel contains the anodized finish, similar to brushed aluminum.

Each fan comes with a 4-foot 120-volt AC cord for plugging into a terminal strip or for operation only during operation, plug it into the switched AC outlet on an amplifier or computer or an intelligent power center. Occupying 3 rack spaces, each panel comes complete with fans and grills attached to the plate. Whisper quiet, the single fan panel is rated for 30dBa while the dual model is at 33dBa.

As advertised, they are quiet, they are keeping my cabinet cool and they seem to be well-constructed, so I'm happy. My only (minor) complaint is that they have blade guards only on one side. I frequently have my hands around both sides, so I added blade guards to the other side (total cost: only about $5). Overall, my cabinet is much quieter that it was before, because I can now keep my cabinet doors closed, which cuts out much more noise than the little bit that the fans add. And the fan noise is at a low enough frequency that it's not irritating anyway. I have a *lot* of hot equipment in this rack, and now the hottest spot in the cabinet is only about 9 degrees F higher than room temperature -- this is a *big* improvement.
