If you keep your rack-mounted A/V equipment in an enclosed closet, your delicate components can be in danger. Each device generates heat, and in an enclosed space, this heat can't escape. Remove heat generated by components located in closets or small equipment rooms with the Passive Intake Closet Cooler, which can extend equipment life. Operating only when needed to minimize dust, this quiet cooling device has been designed to handle the heat produced by a full rack of equipment in a closet with gaps at the ceiling and/or floor. Two solid oak vents will be visible and can be stained or painted to match any room's décor.

Fan Turns On AutomaticallyThe quiet, internal fan activates automatically when temperatures generated by hot-running equipment reach damaging levels. The Passive Intake Closet Cooler activates automatically at 87° F and turns off at 85° F, but since its quiet fan runs at only 25 dB, it won't disturb your enjoyment of your entertainment equipment. The fan and vent panel kits installed at the top and bottom of your closet door manage airflow quietly.
Additional Cooling Systems AvailableIf your equipment closet is completely sealed, you'll need additional help in exhausting hot air. In this case, you can use the Active Intake Closet Cooler. If you maintain a few components in a small cabinet or enclosed entertainment center, use the Cabinet Cooler Fan System instead. Coolers are also available to cool individual components.
