Installation was not difficult except that you had to remove the cover from the amplifier to install the temperature switch next to the output transistor heat sinks.

Seems to work as advertised - no complaints.

Product is first rate. Smarthome is one of the only, (if not the only), supplier of this product. Their description of this products uses are sketchy at best. Instead, they rely on user comments and reviews. Well let me tell you, this product works. I have it resting on top of a very hot video processor...or at least what used to be a hot video processor. What was once almost too hot to rest your hand on is now just barely warm. Hooked up to a 12v trigger activated by the processor itself and the unit requires no user input ever again. It is a little noisy, but if mounted inside or on top of an equipment rack, especialy within an enclosed area, and it is perhaps the perfect solution to heat build up.

I put two of these on my receiver (one over each bank of heat sinks) and it went from frying eggs to cool as a cucumber. Really nice unit!

The quality and performance of the equipment cooler is very good. I thought the price was a little high but it was the cheapest on the intranet.
