Heat is the enemy! When you place A/V components or other devices in a cabinet, it is vitally important to exhaust the heat they create in order to ensure they operate properly without overheating.

The System 3E is a small, thermally-activated ventilation system for smaller installations. Use this system to ventilate small spaces (8 to 10 cu ft) such as a nightstand or the kitchen cabinet where you hid your PC. It will change the air in this size enclosure about twice per minute. The System 3E is also ideal for use within larger spaces with hot spots needing extra ventilation.

A small unit holds the brains of the system. You can easily plug in the two 80mm fans (3 1/8" square, 1" thick), the remote thermal probe, and power supply. Mount the fans per suggestions in the installation instructions, then attach the thermal probe to the hottest component in the equipment enclosure. This automatically turns the fans on at 90 degrees F and helps protect your equipment.
