Leviton's WSS0S-H0W LevNet RF Self-Powered Wireless Key Card Switch creates energy savings by ensuring no devices are left on when a room is left unoccupied. This device is battery-free producing electrical currents with the built-in micro-generator. The insertion of a key card itself provides enough energy for the keycard switch to transmit wireless signals for controlling remote receivers such as lighting and appliance controls. Before entering a room, insert the card into the reader to initiate an "On" command for lighting and other devices in the room. Upon exiting the room the user will remove the card and the appropriate loads will be turned off. Programming the key card switch for control over a load is a short and simple process which should be done before mounting the key card switch. Doing so will allow you to test the range for the intended location. The programming process requires user's to insert an access card into the key card switch, while the receiver to be controlled is in the desired operating mode. Use any plastic card with the appropriate shape and size for activation of the key card switch, the standard credit card size is recommended. (Access cards sold separately)
