You can easily store and protect a broad range of home networking modules in a sturdy, steel enclosure designed specifically for the Leviton Structured Media series. The 28-Inch Leviton Enclosure is used to terminate all of the home-run wires from wall outlets and provide a distribution point for voice, data and video wiring in a residence or multiple dwelling unit.

Adding Distribution ModulesThe 28-Inch Leviton Enclosure can accommodate up to eight distribution modules to send single or multiple phone, fax and data lines to the various rooms in your house. This sturdy enclosure also safely houses the Leviton AC Power Block, which offers four hospital-grade AC outlets and incorporates multi-stage surge protection. Need more modules? The larger 42-Inch Leviton Enclosure can accommodate up to 18 modules.
Cover and Extension OptionsThe 28-Inch Leviton Enclosure comes with a flush-mount cover in white, powder-coated steel. A hinged cover is also available, ideal for applications where you may need to get into the enclosure to perform updating of the cables or when a device (hub, router, phone system) needs resetting. The Hinged Cover has a knockout for an optional key lock. Both covers feature a three-quarter inch overlap to hide irregular drywall cuts. The 28-Inch Leviton Enclosure is also available without a cover. If you need more room, or if you need to ventilate your enclosure, add the 28-Inch Extender Bracket, which gives an additional 2 inches of depth, has louvers for cooling air flow, and is made from the same white powder-coated steel as your enclosure for a seamless appearance.
InstallationIdeal for new or retrofit installations, the 28-Inch Leviton Enclosure w/Cover can be surface mounted or recessed by mounting between wall studs on 16-inch centers using the included wood screws. Positive stops on the housing sidewalls prevent the enclosure from falling through studs during installation. Cable installation and routing is facilitated through multiple knockouts on the top and bottom, and you'll appreciate the mounting guides on the cover for aligning screw-holes, which reduce the chances of dropping during attachment.
