But this Monster Cable® Standard™ In-Wall Speaker Cable provides superior signal transmission over other brands of similar thickness because it uses very fine, high-purity copper strands twisted together in an interference-resistant pattern.

The high frequency signals travel on the surface of conductors, resulting in the largest low-resistance surface area possible for these high-frequency signals. The result? A clean path for high-current bass signals. Interference-resistant winding is especially important for whole house applications because of the long wire runs. A special low-friction outer jacket makes pulling the cable through walls easy. All four conductors are color coded. For optimum performance, use the thickest cable your budget allows.
THX-Certified for Truly Professional Performance
This two-conductor version has the additional benefit of being THX certified. This extraordinarily hard-to-achieve certification assures that the cables transfer dialogue, music and sound effects exactly as the film's sound editors intended. Cable 8519C is THX-certified for cable runs up to 24 ft. for front speakers and 48 ft. for surrounds.
Fully Designed and Approved for In-Wall Use
For most cables, the higher the class number, the better the cable. Most cities in the U.S. require in-wall cable to be Class 2, at minimum, to meet electrical codes. The cable on this page is fully UL Class 3 rated for maximum protection. If a cable isn't UL rated, it should only be used outside walls.
