This premium cable is constructed with an 18-gauge solid copper conductor center protected by four layers of shielding (most RG-6 is shielded with just one or two layers). This quad shielding provides the utmost protection against electrical noise and the interference it causes. It also prevents signals in the cable from radiating outward, causing electromagnetic interference (EMI).
The cable meets Article 800 of the National Electrical Code and is UL Class 2 for in-wall use.
