These ultra-high performance F compression connectors exceed SCTE IPS and Bellcore specifications with a patented, single-piece design. Suitable for coaxial broadband networks used in video, data and telephony applications using standard, tri-shield, or quad-shield cable, the F RG6-Quad PermaSeal-II Blue for Coax connectors feature a sealed internal neoprene O-ring and a 360-degree radial seal with triple environmental seal protection. Made from precision-machined annealed CDA360 brass, these anti-corrosion nickel-plated connectors feature a ridge-patterned internal sleeve and ¼"-¼" cable preparation for quick and easy installation.

The Weatherproof Compression Tool Set lets you make professional-quality terminations easily. This HDTV-compatible set includes a compression crimp tool, a cable cutter, a cable stripper for RG6 and RG6 Quad coax, and 10 waterproof compression connectors that are safe for both indoor and outdoor use.

After you've stripped the coax, save your fingers by using the flaring tool. This special tool quickly (and painlessly!) opens up the coax jacket to make inserting the connector easy. No more bleeding fingers!

The metal sleeve extends beyond the sealing sleeve, and as such would hold moisture if these connectors were to be used outside. Could be better.

THIS IS AN AMENDMENT OF MY EARLIER REVIEW. I had first used these connectors on high quality RG6 cable, and had the bad experience that I described in my earlier review. Using plain RG6, as good as it is, was my tragic flaw. I recently obtained RG6 QUAD-SHIELDED cable and used these connectors on it. The difference was almost night and day! The connectors slipped out of RG6 cable because the connector was NOT MADE for regular RG6! After preparing the well-shielded RG6 Quad cable and compressing on the connector, man, that connector wasn''''t going ANYWHERE! Consequently, in the interest of fairness, I have to amend my earlier review to state that these connectors were designed for RG6 QUAD, even though the specs say that it can terminate RG6 as well. Also, the issues of the tightness of the hex nut and the overall magnitude of the connector do create some problems. You don''''t want a perfect marriage of cable and connector, and have great difficulty attaching it to your designated device, do you? There are a couple of excellent products that assist in screwing in and removing tight nuts, but the size of the connector is an exacerbating factor. The manufacturers would do well to allow the hex nut a little more freedom of movement which is not compromised by the connection process. - N.H., Toronto Ontario

I used a good RG6 cable with these connectors, and was not at all pleased. Nineteen of the hex nuts in a bag of 25 connectors were too stiff for independent movement. They were not free-spinning as the product description said. This was compounded by the strenuous crimping process - the nuts simply could not move afterward without a wrench. I then tested the strength of fit by pulling not yanking the connector away from the cable and, to my utter surprise, with some ease, it started to slide out of the cable. When I applied more effort, without twisting, and purely by hand, the connector was completely off. The nut and connector body are too large for the two completely different connector tools that I have to assist in attachment and removal wherever the cable is to be connected and which fit all other connectors perfectly. These connectors are incompatible with standard RG6 cable and tools, and has an unreliable grip - I cannot recommend them.
