Essential Info
Use your existing infrared remote to control components in another room. The IR Coax Engine w/Power Supply will deliver IR signals to your devices over the coaxial cable that delivers your television signal. This unit requires an IR Coax Adapter and a stick-type or remote head plasma-proof IR receiver to be installed in the room with the television as well as an IR emitter to deliver commands to your A/V components. All of these devices are sold separately or can be purchased as a starter kit.

How it WorksThe coax adapter is located near the TV, providing a connection for an IR receiver, and the coax engine is located near the A/V source, providing an IR emitter output. The IR receiver gets the commands from your IR remote and injects them onto the coax cable. These commands are delivered to your A/V components via an IR emitter, which can be affixed to the IR window of your DVD player, VCR, or cable box.
Expandable System Works with Multiple TelevisionsThe power supply included with the IR Coax Engine is powerful enough to support four IR coax adapters and their connected IR receivers.
