Essential Info

Use your existing infrared remote to control components in another room. The Stick-Type IR Receiver connects to an IR Coax Adapter, which injects your commands onto your existing coaxial cable to deliver signals to A/V components in another room, up to 200 feet away. This system requires an IR Coax Engine as well as an IR emitter to deliver commands to your A/V components. All of these devices are sold separately or can be purchased as a starter kit.

    How it Works
The IR receiver and coax adapter are located near the TV, and the coax engine is located near the A/V source, providing an IR emitter output. The IR receiver gets the commands from your IR remote and injects them onto the coax cable via the IR Coax Adapter. These commands are delivered to your A/V components via an IR emitter, which can be affixed to the IR window of your DVD player, VCR, or cable box.

    IR Receiver Details
The Stick-Type IR Receiver is safe for use around plasma televisions. An adjustable blinder swivels around the IR pickup to prevent interference from light sources that may cause erroneous IR signals.

Expandable System Works with Multiple Televisions
The power supply included with the IR Coax Engine is powerful enough to support four IR coax adapters and their connected IR receivers. You can also connect this IR receiver to a connecting block for more complex installations.
