If you use an A-Bus system for easy whole-house audio distribution over inexpensive cat. 5 cable, you can add your iPod® to the A-Bus system to play MP3s over your existing stereo speakers with the iPod Wall Dock for A-Bus. This attractive wall-mount unit remains unobtrusive when not in use, but its support ledge with integrated Omni connector slides out easily, ready to dock and your iPod at all times. The iPod Wall Dock for A-BUS is compatible with all iPod models (sold separately) other than the iPod Shuffle and the First-Generation iPod with the fire-wire interface. A-Bus system components are required and sold separately, as well.

The iPod Wall Dock for A-Bus fits in a single-gang box and uses an Omni connector to deliver power to the iPod for charging and provides audio to the A-Bus whole-house audio system. Two support clips are included, one for the iPod Mini and another for standard-size iPod models. Once connected, the iPod Wall Dock for A-Bus will use the A-Bus system to connect to your speakers (sold separately).
An A-Bus system requires input modules, a hub with a power supply, and amplified keypads in each connected room. Try the Rack-Mount 1x4 A-Bus Distribution Module, which includes a power supply, or the A-BUS Cat. 5 Whole-House Audio System, which includes everything you'll need to get started.
