By connecting any of these components digital audio outputs to the Dia driving a pair of quality speakers (including an optional subwoofer), you can get high-performance stereo sound without having to set up a high-performance audio experience that avoids expensive home-theater equipment and fills the room with superior sound. Whichever component you choose to use with the Dia, the digital audio signal will be translated to an analog sound via the high-quality 24-bit DAC that operates exclusively at the data's sample rate (max sample rate is 24-bit / 192kHz) for maximum clarity and detail. A Digital to Analog Converter, also known as a DAC, is a device that converts a digital code to an analog signal. Most modern audio signals are stored in digital form (for example MP3s and CDs) and in order to be heard through speakers they must be converted into an analog signal. Most digital music players, such as a Smartphone or iPod, and PC sound cards come with internal DACs, although, they are very basic and do not deliver music in high resolution.
