The Icon2 from Nuforce is the second generation, audiophile-grade integrated desktop amplifier that features two 24-watt outputs for speakers, a 3.5mm stereo input for connection to a portable music player, a standard RCA input, and a USB DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) for converting digital music from your computer to a high resolution 24-bit sound. With four separate inputs, the Icon2 is able to act as the heart for a simple and conventional audio system. On the front of the unit, a 3.5mm output is available for the headphone enthusiast that desires more from their home computer system. The Icon2 works with either a PC or Mac. The units line-out functions as a USB-to-analog audio converter or can even be used as a connection to a subwoofer. The Icon2 boasts four separate inputs and allows you to connect multiple devices. The rear of the unit comes complete with an RCA, USB, RJ45 left and right speaker inputs, and two 3.5mm inputs, one on the front and the other on the rear. With so many inputs, you are able to connect devices such as a computer (USB), a gaming system (RCA), portable music player (rear 3.5mm), headphones (front 3.5mm), and some quality speakers (RJ45 L/R). Each unit is sold with a pair of CAT-6E speaker cables that terminate with an RJ45 connection on one end and Banana Plugs on the other. The front of the Icon2 has a source selector that allows you to choose which source you listen to. The Icon2 comes in a multitude of colors: Black, Red, and Silver. Note: The included RJ45 to Banana Plug Speaker cable is 2 meters long. If you need a longer speaker cable to set your speakers where you want, you are able to create your own lengths with a longer Network Cable and RJ45 Couplers.
