For large homes or audio applications, the six zones available on the NuVo Essentia EG6 audio distribution system or NuVo Essentia EG6 6-Source, 6-zone Audio Distribution System, Amp Only may not be enough. The NuVo Essentia EG6 System Expander, connects to a NuVo EG6 main unit, and will distribute up to six additional zones (for a total of 12). This Essentia EG6 6-zone System Expander comes with the amplifier only, so it is ideal for applications in which you don't yet know how many additional zones the installation will require. Additional NuVo Essentia Single Gang Control Pads, sold separately, can be purchased individually, giving you the power of choice in deciding how many zones you would like to add. The Essentia System Expander works in conjunction with an Essentia main amplifier, blending the advanced technology of superior home sound with the simplicity of a user-friendly design, all at a price that's easy to live with. Control System Locally With Wall-Mounted Touch PadsYou won't need to run to the main system every time you want to change the volume or source of a zone. With the addition of new OLED control pads, you can manually change the volume or source you want to hear, directly from the zone it controls. You can browse by station, playlist, track, artist, album, or genre, as all of the audio information displays what's playing when it's playing. Each keypad has a built-in infrared receiver, offering the option of using an IR remote as well. The new control pad interface has a flush mount design, pressure sensitive tactile buttons and an OLED display that provided full metadata feedback for each zone. Additionally, the keypads are water resistant, so they can be used in certain outdoor applications.
