If you use the Grand Concerto 6-Source 8-Zone System to distribute six audio sources to eight zones in your home, you can access and play downloaded songs through any connected speakers in your home. The 3-Output Music Server uses a 160 GB hard drive to store enough music to play 115 straight days at 128 kbps high-quality audio. Compatible with standard compressed and non-compressed files in most formats, including WMA, MP3 and WAV, this music server connects to your PC via the included USB cable to access all of your downloaded music files and songs ripped from CDs for instant access through the Grand Concerto's wall-mounted touch pads.

Installation & Connection to the Grand ConcertoThe 3-Output Music Server has three independent analog audio outputs. Although all the available music files are stored on a single 160-GB hard drive, each of the audio outputs is treated as a separate audio source. Therefore the 3-Output Music Server will constitute three of the six available audio sources of your Grand Concerto 6-Source 8-Zone audio distribution system.
Easy Menu-Based Browsing & SelectionYou can browse through playlists, artists, albums, tracks and genres from any of the Grand Concerto Control Pads, or from the front panel of the 3-Output Music Server. The contents of each of the menu items is determined by Windows Media Player: When music is downloaded from a music website, or ripped from a CD, Media Player accumulates the available album, artist and track information and appropriately catalogs it. When music is synced from Media Player to the M3 all of the music cataloging is also synced. The 3-Output Music Server features full Digital Rights Management compliance.
Additional Control OptionsAdd IR control to your music server without placing an IR emitter on the front panel IR receiver. An IR input on the back panel uses a mono mini 3.5mm patch cable. A DB9 port is also included on the 3-Output Music Server for bidirectional communication with third-party home automation systems.
