Controllable by Home Automation
Concerto's bi-directional RS232 port means it is completely controllable by home automation devices designed to control all aspects of the home. Just one of the many features that make Concerto one of the most flexible and powerful distributed audio systems on the market.
Six Audio Sources to Eight Zones Throughout the Home
Concerto offers the power to choose from six different sound sources. Switching between sources is as easy as the touch of a button. You can even listen to multiple sound sources in eight different zones simultaneously! The Concerto Display Pad makes source selection and complete source function control as easy as the touch of a button. Imagine listening to a classical CD in the kitchen while your spouse is hearing the rich, full sound of a DVD upstairs, your daughter is listening to pop music in the sunroom, and your son and his friends are in the den, tuning into the big game. NuVo makes it a reality. And with Generation D technology, it's more powerful and precise than ever.
Source Grouping
This feature of Concerto's allows for one zone to automatically listen to the same source as all other zones in the group. This is a very useful feature for a large open area where it is not practical for more than one source to be playing at one time. The advantage of the zone group is that each Display Pad within the group has the ability to turn on or off, mute, and control volume independently. Concerto allows for four separate groups.
Powerful Sound Output
Although the Concerto is rated for 80 watts of power per zone (40 watts per left and right channel) for high-quality sound reproduction, it still offers a line output for use with external amplifiers when additional power is needed.
Customize Sound for Every Room
Whether you thrill to a pulse-pounding bass or soul-soaring highs, the unique equalization feature on NuVo keypads allows you to adjust the sound system to optimize the natural acoustics of each individual room.
Prevent Speaker Damage — Limit Maximum Volume
The "Max Volume" feature allows the volume in a zone to be limited. This can be done either to avoid damage to low-power speakers or simply to prevent a certain room from being turned up too high (e.g., a teenager's bedroom). "Balance" adjusts the level of output to the left and right speakers. The default is center, but depending on the location of the speakers and the optimal listening area of the room, it may be advantageous to adjust the balance to either the left or the right. Bass and Treble EQ can be adjusted individually. The range is 12dB to +12dB.
Integrate Keypads for Simplified Use
If you like, the NuVo system keypads can be grouped. This enables open living spaces (such as the living room, dining room and kitchen) to share a listening choice, while still permitting individual volume control. Not only that, but the special "All Off" feature allows you to shut down your NuVo system with the press of a single button. Add a dual tuner (sold separately) to your audio distribution system, and you'll have a complete dual AM/FM/Weather tuner, an AM/FM/Weather and XM Satellite radio tuner, or a dual XM satellite radio tuner along with an auxiliary source distribution throughout your home. You can even control up to three of these tuners from any room in the house using a Remote Control for NuVo Tuners (sold separately). These IR remotes send signals through the integrated IR receivers in the connected keypads.

Concerto IR Learning Station (#8270DLS)
The Concerto IR Learning Station is a complete package for configuring every aspect of the Concerto's operation*. The package includes the Concerto Configurator software, the IR Learning Station interface for capturing audio component IR commands and storing them in an IR Library, RS232 connection cables, and a power supply. The Learning Station package is compatible with all Concerto Systems.

Concerto Expander with 6 keypads (#8270DX)
Eight additional listening zones can be added with the Concerto Expander package, for a total of 16 zones. Simply connect the Concerto Expander to the Concerto main amplifier using the Source Link and Digital Link outputs. All necessary cables are included in the Expander package. Includes 6 keypads.
