You can even listen to multiple sound sources in six different zones simultaneously! Imagine listening to a classical CD in the kitchen while your spouse is hearing the rich, full sound of a DVD upstairs. Meanwhile your daughter is listening to pop music in the sun room, and your son and his friends are in the den, tuning into the big game. That's the power of choice.

Powerful Sound Output
Although the Essentia is rated for 40 watts of power per zone (20 watts per left and right channel) for high-quality sound reproduction, it still offers a line output for use with external amplifiers when additional power is needed.

Customize Sound for Every Room
Whether you thrill to a pulse-pounding bass or soul-soaring highs, the unique equalization feature on NuVo keypads allows you to adjust the sound system to optimize the natural acoustics of each individual room.

Integrate Your Keypads for Simplified Use
If you like, the NuVo system keypads can be grouped. This enables open living spaces (such as the living room, dining room and kitchen) to share a listening choice, while still permitting individual volume control. Not only that, but the special "All Off" feature allows you to shut down your NuVo system with the press of a single button.

Simple, Seamless Integration
The revolutionary NV-EZP EZ-Port (1 included, extras sold separately #8270EZ) neatly conceals the individual connections for each listening zone in the wall. A single wire connection from the EZ-Port to the back of the Essentia amplifier cleanly and seamlessly integrates the entire system. Add a dual tuner (sold separately) to your audio distribution system, and you'll have a complete AM/FM/Weather tuner for radio and an auxiliary source distribution throughout your home.

Expandable to a 6-Source, 12-Zone System
To expand to a 6-Source/12-Zone system, you'll need the Essentia Expander Package (#8270CXD), which includes an amplifier, six keypads (also with multiple faceplates), a remote control with batteries and connecting cables. Manufacturer's part number: NVE6DXS.

Add the Optional 3-in-1 AM/FM Tuner for Total Flexibility
For an unsurpassed experienced in home audio enjoyment, expand your system with the optional 3-in-1 AM/FM Tuner. This unique tuner gives you three independent AM/FM tuners in one complete package. With a simple touch of a single remote control or wall unit, you can choose from preset stations, adjust the volume, switch from AM to FM — all in an instant. Now you can listen to the classical station on the deck, while your daughter and her friends play Top 40 in the kitchen, as the guys tune into the baseball game in the den. The 3-in-1 AM/FM Tuner includes a remote control as well as AM and FM antennas. You can even control this tuner from any room in the house using a Remote Control for NuVo Tuners (sold separately). These IR remotes send signals through the integrated IR receivers in the connected keypads.

Extra Keypads Available
Need a replacement keypad? The NV-EKP E Series Backlit Keypad (#8270K) has a built-in IR receiver for remote control of the system from the individual zone. Includes four faceplates (white, almond, ivory and black) and additional replaceable buttons.

Can Be Easily Rack-Mounted
Want to mount your amplifier into a Middle Atlantic 19" equipment rack? No problem! Just attach optional Rackmount Ears (#8270R, sold separately) and you'll be able to attach it to a rackmount system without the expense of a custom faceplate.

Play TV Audio Through System
By using the Passive Local Source Interrupt (sold separately), you can play audio from another local source, such as a television, through the zone speakers of your Essentia system.



#8270K is compatible with older NuVo Audio Distribution Systems, NOT with the current system we carry, #8270CED.

The compatible keypad for the current system is #8270W.
