Choose from two sound sources, like satellite audio and the CD jukebox. Or you can choose from two different radio stations — his and hers. And with Simplese, you can experience sound in four different listening zones (30 watts per zone), enough to cover the major living spaces of most homes. That means you can be listening to a CD in the kitchen while your family tunes into the big game on AM radio in the living room. You can even group system keypads together to enable open living spaces to share a listening choice while still permitting individual volume control. The special "All Off" feature allows you to shut down your NuVo system with the press of a single button.
The Simplese has a built-in infrared engine that allows you to control source equipment from other rooms. Each of the four volume-control keypads that come with the system has an IR sensor cleverly concealed behind the translucent rubber volume button that can pick up signals from any remote control (i.e. the CD player remote, the satellite TV remote, or the included RC1 remote) and route them to the two included IR emitters that attach to the source devices. You can also expand the number of emitters with Single IR Emitters (sold separately), which are attached to the end of a 10-foot cord for installation flexibility.
This system comes with four pair of NuVo's 6.5" In-Ceiling Speakers, which are built with large magnets for increased bass response, polypropylene cones with butyl rubber surrounds for crisp, lifelike sound, and a full 12dB crossover to ensure premium tweeter and woofer performance. Pivoting silk dome tweeters allow you to direct the high-range sound toward the listening area, not above your head or at your feet. These 50-watt ceiling speakers require 16-gauge speaker wire, either 2- or 4-conductor (sold separately). A Rough-In Kit for these speakers is available if you're redecorating or in the process of new-home construction. Additional pairs of 6.5-inch In-Ceiling Speakers can be purchased separately. The Simplese system can also be purchased without the speakers.
Add a dual tuner (sold separately) to the Simplese audio distribution system, and you'll have a complete dual AM/FM/Weather tuner, an AM/FM/Weather and XM Satellite radio tuner, or a dual XM satellite radio tuner along with an auxiliary source distribution throughout your home. You can even control up to three of these tuners from any room in the house using a Remote Control for NuVo Tuners (sold separately). These IR remotes send signals through the integrated IR receivers in the connected keypads.
