Essential Info
You don't need to install a bulky subwoofer to fill out the bass in your stereo system. The 8-Inch In-Wall Subwoofer is designed to be flush-mounted in a wall or panel for full, 120-watt sound in an unobtrusive housing. A retro-fit mounting frame for mounting into an existing wall kit is included. This subwoofer connects to your home theater system using 16-gauge or larger speaker wire, sold separately.

This in-wall subwoofer is comprised of a low-frequency driver with dual 8-ohm voicecoils and is designed so as to perform in an infinite baffle design requiring no rear chamber. The low-frequency driver is manufactured with a weather-resistant polypropylene cone and butyl surround. The crossover is a second order network (12 dB/oct) and delivers two specific ranges of frequencies to the woofer and connected speakers.
The 8-Inch In-Wall Subwoofer mounts in an opening accessible from the front without access to the rear. Install the rigid steel frame and mounting ring assembly by passing the black mounting ring through the cutout. Verify that the speaker frame fits into the cutout, and once the frame is in place, pull the mounting ring against the rear side of the wallboard. You'll be left with a more secure, stable installation. The included drywall locator kit provides a pattern for drywall cutting as well as a tie-off hole for speaker wire that provides added ease in installation.
Included in the package is a perforated metal grille to protect the driver; the grille is removable for servicing. All surfaces of the speaker are paintable to match your décor, as well.
