If you own a Hot Link Pro (sold separately), then you know that it makes it possible to use your infrared remote controls to manage your electronic components that are kept behind opaque doors, leaving only the clean lines of your entertainment center. But if you wish to control more than six components in one location or even if you keep some of these components in a separate location, the Hot Link Pro Expansion Kit is an inexpensive solution that allows you to double the number of managed components. This kit includes an Emitter Extension Kit, which makes it possible to add length to the Hot Link Pro's six emitters with RJ45 or twin lead wires in order to extend the IR emitters over 100 feet from the Hot Link Pro's main box. A pair of twin lead wires is included; for longer connections, use cat. 5e cable with RJ45 connectors (both sold separately).

The Hot Link Pro Expansion Kit includes six additional emitters, which can be added to either end of the emitter system. In this way, you can keep them with the main box or at a remote location. Since the Emitter Extension Kit lets you control components up to 100 feet away, you can keep your components in a different room or in a cabinet far from your original Hot Link Pro.
Adding this emitter set does not reduce performance of remote to eye distance.
The Hot Link Pro Emitter Extension + Expansion Kit can also be used with the Hot Link Pro X12. The Emitter Extension Kit is also available to be purchased separately if you're only seeking to extend the distance between your Hot Link Pro and some of your components.
