Dual-voice coil speakers provide inexpensive, two channel stereo sound from one single speaker. They are a great choice for those on a low budget, or those who prefer only one speaker in a smaller area (ex. hallway, bathroom, closet, etc.). Each dual voice coil speaker has two inputs (one for the left channel, and one for the right channel of an amplifier). BIC America dual voice coil in-ceiling speakers are not suitable for one channel use. The state-of-the-art VK-6DUAL stereo speaker includes a Premium Grade 6 1/2" Kevlar woofer (made from the same material as bullet proof vests). Kevlar offers incredible strength and dispersion advantages compared to traditional woofers. Kevlar cones enable superior acoustical quality, improved mid-bass, extreme durability under high stress conditions, and are less susceptible to blow out, even when being driven at the highest levels. VK-6DUAL speakers include dual 1" ferrofluid-cooled titanium tweeters. Weather-resistant for bathroom or outdoor use. Each speaker is packaged with both a weather-resistant metal paintable grille, and a white cloth decor grille with Scotchguard. Dog-leg mount style for easy installation.
