You don't need to drill a hole in your equipment cabinet in order to set up an IR distribution kit. The Hidden Link Plasma-Proof IR Kit comes with a shelf-top IR receiver that can stand next to your television, even if it's a plasma screen. The IR receiver delivers your commands to a connecting block, which you can set up in a cabinet or equipment rack. Plug the four included IR emitters into the connecting block and affix them to four A/V components to control them remotely using your existing IR remote. The required power adapter is also included with this kit.

The tabletop IR sensor picks up IR signals from up to 50 feet away. The sensor is equipped with a 7-foot cable and 3.5mm stereo mini plug, which is plugged directly into the "IR RCVR" jack on the included connecting block. Additional features include a talkback green LED that tests the system for correct wiring and indicates infrared reception.
