Essential Info

Use this shelf-top IR receiver when you can't drill into a cabinet or piece of equipment to use the smaller hidden sensors. Xantech's Hidden Link sensor is about an inch high and about 3.25" wide and include a 'talkback' LED so you'll know the command was received and sent to the emitter.

NOTE: The status LED on your IR repeater should only be lit when it is receiving an IR signal from your remote control. If you notice that the LED is always on, you may be getting interference from your television or the ambient light in the room. This will cause the system to overheat and will burn out prematurely. There are LCD and Plasma safe kits which filter out the interference coming from your television.

    The Xantech IR Hidden Link Kit includes:
    • 1 Tabletop IR Sensor (#8110). This table top sensor picks up IR signals up to 90 degrees and up to 30 feet away. Equipped with a 7-foot cable and 3.5 mm stereo mini plug, which is plugged directly into the "IR RCVR" jack on the included one-emitter connecting block or any connecting block we carry. IR modulation frequency bandwidth: 30 - 100 kHz.
    • 4 Visible Blinking Stick-On IR Emitter (#8160). The #8160 is a single headed emitter that produces a blink when operating. This is helpful in troubleshooting an IR distribution and works well when the equipment is inside a cabinet where the blinking will not distract the user.
    • 1 Zone Connecting Block. The One Zone Connecting Block collects signals from room IR sensors, processes them and sends the signals to your audio/video equipment via an infrared emitter. Connects four emitter ports and power supply to all Xantech infrared receivers and keypads.
    • 1 12-Volt DC Power Supply 200MA. Standard 12-Volt DC power supply for the one zone connecting block.

    Works with my plasma TV perfectly. The key is to place the receiver slightly behind the front face of the TV. This kit worked exactly as I expected. No issues to report after 4 weeks of use. I would recommend this kit to my friends.

    This is the best child proof kit. Our two year old would always take out the TV converter card (Cablevision). We tried taping the card in the slot, but he would still get it out. Finally we bought the Xantech IR sensor kit and moved the cable box out of sight and out of reach. The only problem is, on occasion, there is a delay between the remote control and the cable box.

    Works pretty well. I have it placed physically next to a Polk SurroundBar 50 and less than 4 inches from my Sony LCD. The indicator light seems to light up and still lit for about 30-40 seconds when I first turn on the LCD, but it then goes away.

    Some plasma interference (as salesperson predicted) in our first set-up location. We moved the IR receiver to the top of our center channel speaker, just above and slightly behind the leading edge of the plasma screen. Works fine now.

    product works soooo great. i love it and it worked even better that i expected. it has a lightning quick response time and works perfectly with my Logitech harmony remote. my only issue was that it was delivered by the USPS and it took 3 weeks. UPS would have been a better choice.

    So I read these other reviews and they all said that this thing was fantastic. They were right. I was worried like some of these other guys that this wouldn't work with a plasma tv. Well it does and it works great! The red indicater lights do stay on some times but you don't notice it or anything unless you are looking for it. Its not like there is some glowing red aura in your livingroom. This is fantastic, works like a charm, and came in like a week. Buy it.
