Overview
|
- Programmable module is part of Xantech's SmartPad3 IR distribution system
- Module learns IR commands to distribute to A/V components located remotely
- Learning device learns commands from existing IR remotes or through Windows-based software
Essential Info
Control multiple A/V components from anywhere in your house. The Xantech SmartPad3 system uses IR-learning, programmable modular keypads wherever you want an easy-to-use interface, consolidating up to eight remotes into one easy-to-use panel. The Dual-Gang Programmable Module learns IR commands from your handheld remotes or can be programmed with Windows-based "Dragon Drop-IR" software. The module requires a keypad, which is sold separately, and can be used alone or as a component in an extensive IR distribution system. This device is compatible with all Xantech IR sensors, emitters and connecting blocks (sold separately).

Multiple Control OptionsThis Dual Gang Programmable Module is the base module for programming all of the functions required for each installation. Keypad buttons can be programmed with either a single IR command or a multi-command sequence, including a pause from 1 to 30 seconds between each command. Two-tiered programming is also possible on each button, allowing you to access a different function for a selected device with a second button press (e.g., "power on" and "disc skip" on one button in the CD bank). Programming is stored in advanced EEPROM, so no back-up batteries are necessary. The Dual-Gang Programmable Module uses a 3-conductor wire to connect to a connecting block, power supply, and emitters. Smart Pad3 can also be used to control X10 devices through an IR command console.
Additional Programmable Modules AvailableThe Dual Gang Programmable Module learns IR commands from your handheld remotes or can be programmed with Windows-based "Dragon Drop-IR" software. A single-gang and a dual-gang programmable module are also available that have the same features as this unit but require no PC programming. Instead these keypads are easily programmed with Xantech Point & Shoot Technology.
