Essential Info
If you thought your fluorescent lighting precluded your installing an IR repeating system to control A/V components and speaker volume, you can now rest easily. Combine IR remote control of A/V components in another room with manual volume control in the room containing your speakers with Xantech's Fluorescent-Friendly Volume Control with IR Receiver, which rejects the interference associated with LCD displays and compact fluorescent lights (CFL) from entering the IR signal line. The Fluorescent-Friendly Volume Control with IR Receiver also allows control of A/V components in another room through the Xantech IR repeating system, all components of which are sold separately. The volume control section is manually controlled only; the IR receiver is for control of other system components and can not control the volume control section.

The Fluorescent-Friendly Volume Control with IR Receiver is an impedance-matching stereo speaker volume control combined with a CFL-Friendly IR receiver. It connects to your room's wall speakers (speaker wire sold separately) and also connects to multiple A/V components through a connecting block using 4-conductor inter-room IR cable (sold separately); IR emitters connect the connecting block to your components in their main location.
The Fluorescent-Friendly Volume Control with IR Receiver attaches to the included 4-terminal block with 4-conductor 18-inch ribbon cable. It mounts in a single-gang J-box and also includes a status LED for system on/off indication.
