Essential Info
Xantech designed this combiner to let you control source components - CD or DVD player, tape player, etc. - via their DC Control Inputs. Many brands of audio/video equipment provide a means of linking a receiver to source components so that IR signals sent to the audio receiver will control the other devices as well. This capability is often in the form of a serial data network using 3.5mm miniature phone jacks.

Use One Set of Source Components for a Multi-Zone Audio SystemYour whole-house A/V system probably consists of several receivers, or one multi-zone amplifier, but only one set of source components. The amps respond to IR signals sent from each single zone, while your tuner, DVD player, and other source components must respond to signals from any zone. The Xantech Control Combiner connects to the DC-Out jacks of up to 5 receivers or amplifiers and the DC-In jack on 1 source component - other components are daisy-chained together. The combiner requires no external power.
Note: all of the A/V components must be of the same brand.
