Essential Info
Xantech has long been associated with controlling components in another room of the house using a standard IR remote. The J-Box IR Receiver is an integral part of this process, sending your IR signals to a connecting block over unshielded 3-conductor inter-room cable (connecting block and cable sold separately). IR emitters (sold separately) then deliver these signals to your components.

This IR receiver is designed to mount easily in a single-gang electrical J-box. The supplied mounting screws and a dark red lens insert allow use of a Decora-style wall plate to blend in with your décor.
This IR receiver interfaces with Xantech connecting blocks such as the One-Zone Connector Block with One Emitter Out, the One-Zone Connector Block with Four Emitters Out or the 10-Emitter Connecting Block. The connecting blocks then deliver your IR signals to your components.
The J-Box IR Receiver works in normal 3-wire mode or 2-wire phantom mode (requires a Xantech Power Module, sold separately). Additional features include a system-testing red talk-back LED.
If you have a plasma-screen television, it is recommended that you instead use the Plasma-Friendly J-Box Receiver.
