Essential Info
Control A/V components behind closed doors or in another room in your home. The Xantech Micro Link Round IR Sensor is a surface-mount IR receiver that features a white bezel to blend with your décor. This sensor comes with a 7-foot cable of 3-conductor ribbon terminating in a 3.5mm stereo mini plug to connect easily to a Xantech block with an IR receiver or auxiliary jack. An RF grid in the sensor's pick-up window helps reduce EMI (electro magnetic interference). Typical range is 30 feet with an acceptance angle of 55 degrees off axis. This system requires a Xantech connecting block as well as IR emitters and a compatible power supply (sold separately). NOTE: The status LED on your IR repeater should only be lit when it is receiving an IR signal from your remote control. If you notice that the LED is always on, you may be getting interference from your television or the ambient light in the room. This will cause the system to overheat and will burn out prematurely. There are LCD and Plasma safe kits which filter out the interference coming from your television.

The sensor has its electronics housed in a brass cylinder. The "business end" of the unit is a small round lens. This small receiver is designed to be placed in very tiny spaces. A single, 1/2-inch hole will accommodate the sensor. The high sensitivity of this receiver gives you the ability to place it farther away from the hand held remote, increasing your placement options. Additional features include a talkback green LED that tests the system for correct wiring and indicates infrared reception.
