The Component Video and Coaxial Digital Audio to F-Type Connector Single Gang Wall Plate is designed for the knowledgeable home theater enthusiast to make a clean, professional installation. The F-type connector input on the rear of the plate allows for long runs of coax cable inside your wall. The coax cable signal is then converted into a component video and coaxial digital audio output on the front. Ideally, you would use two of these wall plates as an in-wall component video connection that installs between a satellite/cable/home theater receiver and a TV or display monitor. For this type of scenario, use a component video cable and a coaxial audio cable to connect one plate by your A/V equipment and the another plate by the television, then utilize a coax cable to connect the plates. The plate features gold plated RCA style connectors on the front and a gold plated F-Type connector on the rear. It has a Decora-style finish and mounts easily in any single gang J-box.
