Create a six-zone whole-house audio and video distribution system that lets you access and control up to eight different A/V components remotely from wall-mounted keypads. The Xantech 6-Zone 8-Source Remote Pre-Amplifier is an infrared remote-controlled audio/video preamp capable of switching eight source inputs into six separate zone cards for multi-zone, multi-room operation. Add a powered amplifier, and you'll be able to connect to every speaker and television in your house. For local control, each zone requires a Xantech infrared receiver or wall-mounted keypad, such as the Hidden Link Tabletop IR Receiver or the Plasma-Friendly J-Box IR Receiver.

Control Up to 8 Audio or Video ComponentsEach common source can be controlled with an existing or learning IR remote with the use of external Xantech IR emitters or Interface Modules. Each emitter output is individually adjustable for high or low IR level. From each zone, you'll be able to turn devices on, adjust volume, and even turn off every device at once. Additional global commands include whole-house source selection for "party mode."
RC68+ Programming Device Required for SetupThe RC68+ remote/programmer is required for setup. This programming device contains all necessary IR commands to set the system up and to program the universal learning devices that will operate the system, such as the Xantech Smart Pads or the Programmable Controller. The input level for each connected A/V source can be adjusted with the RC68+ remote/programmer by the installer. This prevents large volume differences when switching between sources.
Mounting FlexibilityThe Xantech 6-Zone 8-Source Remote Pre-Amplifier can be mounted four ways: between wall studs, on top of wall studs using a separate flat panel, racked into a standard 19-inch rack using an optional rack-mount plate, or freestanding.
