Installing an IR delivery system is a convenient way to maintain control of your A/V components, even if they're installed in another room. The Micro Link IR Receiver is ideal for controlling remote components when you need as discreet and small a unit possible. But you don't need to deal with the interference caused by direct or reflected sunlight shining on this IR receiver. Install the Sunscreen Filter for the Xantech Micro Link IR Receiver to reduce the amount of IR interference caused by the sun. The Micro Link IR Receiver is sold separately.

Two lenses are included with the Sunscreen Filter for Xantech Micro Link IR Receiver. The black lens filters out all visible light and only allows infrared light to pass through. The white lens reduces the total amount of light by approximately 66 percent, not only reducing infrared interference from the sun but also cutting the effective IR remote range.
The Sunscreen Filters should be applied directly to the Micro Link IR Receiver with transparent tape, sold separately. A Sunscreen Filter is also available for the Dinky Link IR Receiver.
