Essential Info
It isn't necessary to purchase expensive high definition (HD) cables to connect an HD video source located in one area of your home to an HDTV receiver in another area of your home. Using a component video cable and coaxial audio cable connection from your HD source, the Single Gang HD Video Transmitter Module converts the video and audio signal into a Cat. 5 output. Using inexpensive Cat. 5 cable, you can connect the transmitter module to a Single Gang HD Video Receiver Module up to 1000 feet away. The receiver module converts the signal from Cat. 5 to component video and coaxial audio outputs which can be connected to your HDTV or monitor using the corresponding cables. This plate will install easily in a standard single-gang electrical box and features clearly labeled, color-coded, gold-plated YPbPr inputs on the front and an RJ-45 output on the back ensuring easy hookup and perfect signal transmission. As an added feature, the receiver module has a built in IR pass through input if you wish to incorporate a long run IR receiver/emitter system. Please note: The IR pass through connection will not communicate over the Cat. 5 connection. It requires a separate 16/2 AWG wire connection and components, see diagram.
