Essential Info
If you already own or plan to purchase a 4-Source, 4-Zone or an 8-Source, 8-Zone HD Video Matrix Switcher, this Single Gang HD Video Receiver Module will allow you to take advantage of the long run high definition (HD) distribution capability each of these devices offers. The HD video matrix switchers, can send HD video and audio via Cat. 5 cable to this Single Gang HD Video Receiver Module up to 1000 feet away without loss. The wall-mount decora-style receiver module then converts the Cat. 5 transmission into a component video and coaxial audio output. To complete the HD connection, simply power the receiver module with the included power supply and plug a component video cable and coaxial audio cable from the receiver module to your corresponding HDTV and audio equipment. Alternatively, if you aren't using a video matrix switcher, you can send any HD video source that has a component video and coaxial audio output over a long run by using a Single Gang HD Video Transmitter Module with the receiver module. As an added feature, the receiver module has a built in IR pass through input if you wish to incorporate a long run IR receiver/emitter system. Please note: The IR pass through connection will not communicate over the Cat. 5 connection. It requires a separate 16/2 AWG wire connection and components, see diagram.
