Essential Info

The Xantech ML85K LCD Proof Designer Micro Link IR Receiver Kit is a small peep-hole infrared repeater assembly. The Micro Link IR Receiver is equipped with a 7-foot cable and a 3.5mm stereo mini plug, which is plugged directly into the "IR RCVR" jack on the connecting block, such as the models 789-44, CB60, and 791-44. The Micro Link IR Receiver is primarily intended for use in installation where the connecting block is within reach of its 7-foot cable - as when installing the Micro Link IR Receiver in a cabinet where the controlled equipment is behind closed doors. The ML Series Kit comes with everything needed for a complete IR repeater system. With a Xantech IR Kit, equipment can now be concealed for clean room design. In addition, a centralized IR receiver means there is only one IR target resulting in improved remote control interaction. Featuring color-coded connectors, a Xantech IR Kit is now an easy to install, and allows a worry-free installation. This version of the Micro Link receiver is Plasma/LCD/LED/CFL proof, so you can install it anywhere in a room with a Plasma/LCD/LED display and/or CFL lighting; it is even resistant to sunlight.

    I had my components (Bell Satellite Receiver, Xbox 360, and LG Blu Ray Player) housed inside a TV stand with a glass front, before moving everything into a storage closet. I control the whole system with one Logitech harmony remote. I find it actually works better now that I have this IR Kit. The components are more responsive and 99% of the time on the first click on the remote. Also, the system was dead easy to set up. Plug in and go.

    I purchased and installed the ML85K IR Receiver Kit. The cable Box Samsung SMT-C 5320 would not work? After reading all the trouble shooting listings which was a little confusing I keyed in on the Maybe there is interferance from the other units? The DVD Player and the surrond sound Amp all worked fine. SO I took some Duck Tape Which fixes everything and covered the front left side of the cable box over the IF Sending device. Guess what.. It WORKS. So either it's now getting a better signal or no interferaqnce?. Hope this helps someone?
