Essential Info
There is no longer a need to leave entertainment cabinet doors open simply to use your IR remote control. The Micro Link Designer IR Kit makes it possible to control up to four different audio and video components behind solid doors or walls using your existing IR remote. The included Micro Link peep hole style IR receiver was designed for mounting in walls, ceilings, wall speakers and other very small spaces and has been engineered specifically to resist IR interference caused by LCD TVs, CFLS and sunlight. It includes a white, brass and black bezel to blend in with your existing décor. The included connecting block supplies power to the IR receiver using the included power supply. The connecting block receives IR signals coming from the IR receiver and distributes the IR signals out to your audio and video components using the included designer IR emitters. The use of this kit will leave you with the clean lines of your entertainment center without looking at unsightly stacks of equipment and cables. You can continue using your existing IR remote with the confidence it will communicate with your AV equipment behind doors and walls and in the presence of your LCD TV, CFLs and sunlight. This product is also available in an Plasma & CFL Proof IR Kit, sold separately. This product is not compatible with Scientific Atlanta HD8300 series cable boxes. If you have one of these boxes you would need to use the plasma proof versions listed here.

Micro Link IR Receiver, LCD & CFL Proof
Use this Micro Link IR receiver when you want to use a smaller, discrete IR sensor. Xantech's Micro Link includes a 'talkback' LED so you'll know the command was received and sent to the emitter. This version of the Micro Link is LCD and CFL proof, so you can install it anywhere in a room with an LCD display and/or CFL lighting. It can be flush mounted to almost any surface; simply drill a half-inch hole in a wall, cabinet panel or speaker grill, and pass the lead and the body of the Micro Link receiver through the hole, then secure it from the rear with the supplied nut. The kit also includes three different bezel colors (black, brass, and white) to blend with your décor.
Extend the reach of your sensor with a 50 foot male to female cable, sold separately. This three-conductor cable has 1/8" male and female plugs molded onto a high quality cable.
Connecting Block
The included connecting block supplies power to the IR receiver, receives IR signals coming from the IR receiver, and distributes the IR signals out to four devices using the included emitters. The four parallel emitter ports with 470-Ohm resistors drive four single emitters (included) or four dual emitters, sold separately.
Power Supply
A high-efficiency power supply specified to provide power to the connecting block. A versatile plug has a locking indentation ring providing a secure connection. A small form-factor allows tighter installation and reduces a clumsy rack-installation.
Visible Designer Emitters
The Micro Link Designer IR Kit includes four single emitters. Each emitter is 10 feet long and plugs into the connecting block via a 3.5mm mono mini plug. The emitters attach to the IR window of your audio and video equipment using clear adhesive film; the emitters also come with three pre-cut adhesive backings for replacement purposes.
