Essential Info

The 282D Designer Emitter contains a tiny infrared LED housed in a miniature, designer styled, injection molded plastic shell. It emits IR (infrared) control signals sent to it by IR receivers or other Xantech controllers. The 282D can be installed directly on the IR sensor window of the controlled device or other suitable locations.

    Smarthome kept me informed on the status of my order with emails and their delivery was prompt. Unfortunately, the product only lasted about a week. The adhesive on the emitter failed and it isn't working anymore.

    I put (2) LCD TV's in different rooms on one HD Digital cable box using the Smart Home components, Everything works great. Hint: use 75ohm cable on the RCA outputs of the digital cable box to go to the 2nd LCD tv. Picture and sound will be great. Get RCA/75 ohm adapters and you are good to go. I use a 2 to 1 splitter cord for the L/R sound so I only ran (1) 75 ohm for sound and (1) 75ohm for video. I used (4) conductor phone cords and connectors to link the controls. You will be amazed!

    Works perfectly, but any emmitter you buy works. This one ALSO looks cool and seems to have a larger surface area and lower profile.
