Essential Info

The Global Caché iTach Wi-Fi to IR allows you to wirelessly connect, monitor and control infrared devices over a network and the Internet. The iTach Wi-Fi devices provide a new level of automation and control flexibility, enabling device networking without wiring. The product is based on open systems and standards for easy integration and compatibility with PC based control software, iPhone/iPod/iPad control apps, and high-end control systems. It's compact design is so small that it could fit in the palm of hand, helping to ensure it won't stand out.

    Great product when converting wifi to ir. However, it may be a little challenging to setup if you are not a networking type person. Also: If you try to use the IR Learning feature, the "IR receiver eye" is disgracefully, badly engineered, poorly located, stuffed inside the "receiver eye's hole" and it WILL NOT receive a signal. I and one other person I spoke with had to take the box/enclosure apart to expose the "receiver eye" on the motherbooard, aim a remote control directly at it in order for it to receive the ir signal from a remote.

    It does what is it supposed to do, and installation was very easy. It took me a while to find the right software for my Android phone - I am now using mbhRemote and it works great. I am controlling my A/C unit remotely, so when I get home the house is nice and cool.

    Awesome if you have the time to figure it out. Go straight to Google to find out how to do what you want, especially if you would like your ISY99i or ISY994i to send IR commands to it. Among other things, they should tell you up front that port three (and only port three) is an IR blaster

    This was exactly what I needed. I have motorized vertical blinds, ceiling fan, and all of my home theater on one tablet remote now. The IR blaster just sits quietly on the wall.

    The product itself works well, but the capture IR codes feature is tricky to use. I had to remove the back panel completely to capture any signals. Also, be prepared for extensive set-up.
