So you've invested in an LCD screen, or CFL lighting, but now you're having trouble with your IR signal reception. The Xantech LCD & CFL-Friendly IR Receiver is designed specifically to reject interference from LCD displays that enters the IR signal line. It also rejects interference from direct sunlight and fluorescent lighting for accurate IR signal reception.

This small IR receiver is intended to be mounted in panels, doors, cabinets, etc. for control of A/V equipment behind closed doors, or any IR repeater system that is in close proximity of an LCD display. Xantech's LCD & CFL-Friendly IR Receiver, equipped with a 7-foot cable and 3.5mm stereo mini plug, is intended to be plugged directly into the "IR RCVR" or "AUX" jack on Xantech Connecting Blocks, such as the included CB12. It should be used in installations where the connecting block is within reach of the 7-foot cable — such as when installing the unit in a cabinet where the controlled equipment is behind closed doors.
The Xantech LCD & CFL-Friendly IR Receiver requires 3-conductor cable. Use 24 gague up to 200' (61M), 22 gauge up to 600' (182.5M), 20 gauge up to 2000' (610M) 18 gauge up to 5000' (1.5KM) — unshielded OK. Note: The Xantech LCD-Friendly IR Receiver (#8112P) is compatible with our Xantech and SpeakerCraft IR distributing equipment but is NOT compatible with the Buffalo systems.
